ADDC and Al Ansari Exchange join hands to provide utility bills payment services

06 May 2012

Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), an entity of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) and Al Ansari Exchange, the UAE’s largest money exchange network that provides worldwide remittances and foreign exchange services, have joined hands to launch a single window whereby the ADDC’s customers can pay their water & electricity bills at any of the Al Ansari Exchange branches.

Eng. Mohammed bin Jarsh, ADDC Acting Managing Director, and Rashed Ali Al Ansari, Al Ansari Exchange General Manager, signed the agreement in a press conference organized on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at ADDC Main Office with the attendance of top officials from both sides and media people.
The new services will allow ADDC consumers experience an ideal situation of paying their water and electricity bills without delay, as the accessibly located branches of Al Ansari Exchange will empower the consumers to drop in and easily pay out their bills on a timely basis.

Speaking on the occasion, Eng. Mohammed bin Jarsh said; “This agreement comes as a part of our efforts to put in force the directives of Abu Dhabi Government and ADWEA aimed at providing high quality water and electricity services to keep pace with the upward trend in population and economic growth the Emirate has witnessed throughout the last few years”. He added; “Such hassle-free services will help us to reduce queue time at ADDC’s customer services centers considerably”. Adding; “It is important to note here that no additional charges will be levied on our customers in return of availing themselves of the new services, they have only to pay the amount of money stated in their bills as it is FREE of charge service”.

“Over the last few years, Al Ansari Exchange has always looked towards developing easier and more convenient ways of doing financial transactions for our customers. Our aim is to give our customers the advantage of making payments swiftly and efficiently, eliminating the need to spend a lot of time while waiting in line to make bill payments using traditional methods. With the roll out of our new ADDC bill collection service, customers can now settle their utility bills at any of our more than 110 branches across the UAE”.
