Al Ansari Exchange donates AED 250,000 for ‘For Your Sake, Somalia’ campaign

Al Ansari Exchange, the UAE-based foreign exchange and worldwide money transfer company, has donated AED 250,000 towards ‘For Your Sake, Somalia’ campaign through the Red Crescent Society of the UAE. In line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the noble initiative aims to provide emergency aid for the Somali people who have been badly affected by famine.
Mohamed Ali Al Ansari, Chairman and Managing Director, Al Ansari Exchange, said: “Somalia is in the midst of a massive drought which is the third incidence in the last 25 years, leaving more than 6.2 million people without food and water. The last famine in 2011 took a toll of 260,000 lives. We are hopeful that our contribution will support in providing clean food and water along with essential medicines to people in the drought-affected regions.
